After graduating as B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Tonmoy started his career with Telecom giant Amdocs where he spent 5 years. He picked up photography as a 12-year-old kid and continued this hobby of creating pretty pictures shooting with a film point & Shoot Camera. It was a fun activity for him and he did not receive any training. On completing Engineering, he gifted himself a DSLR camera and began experimenting with it.
Metamorphosis happened and Tonmoy turned into a wedding photographer. After a short stint with candid wedding photography, in 2011, he went on to produce his first documentary film about the Rock musicians in India. The film was released online and was much appreciated – it went viral! In 2014, NDTV Prime recognized the film and released it non-commercially. Meanwhile Tonmoy was approached by a lot of people to produce wedding films and it was natural for him to move out of his job and make his career in the sphere of photography.
